Congratulations to the West Choral students that sang with Country artist Eric Church on Saturday, April 29th, 2017 at the SNHU Arena. It was a very exciting evening and our students performed beautifully! Eric won the 2016 CMA Award for Album of the year and the 2016 ACM Music Video of the Year Award for the album's first title-track single
Choral activities are divided into two main components--Chamber Choir and Chorus and perform beautiful winter and spring performances. Choral students participates in Music Department field trips when available.
Mrs. Diane Francoeur is the Director of Bands and Choirs at Manchester High School West. She has been a teacher in the Manchester School District for twenty-five years, twelve of those at West High School. Diane completed her undergraduate work at the University of New Hampshire, a Masters in Education and Certificate of Graduate Studies (CAGS) in Educational Leadership from Plymouth State University. In 2010 she was awarded the “Teacher of the Year Award” at Manchester High School West. In 2015, she was received the “Distinguished Music Educator of the Year” by the New Hampshire Music Educators Association and a 2015 New Hampshire Excellence in Education (Edie) award. In 2016, she received the “Outstanding Band Director Award” by the New Hampshire Band Directors Association. She is the past Executive Director and Director at Large for the New Hampshire Music Education Association.
