♪      Band Schedule 2008 - 2009

♪      Drumline rehearsals will be held every Wednesday morning from 9 am to 2 pm starting July 23^rd, at the West band room. Everyone needs to bring a lunch, plenty of liquids and anything they may need to perform. Please see the Percussion page for contact information.

♪      Summer Band Letter

♪      Summer Band will be held Wednesdays, August 6, 13, and 20 from 6:15 pm - 8:00 pm in the West Band room. We will be practicing the music for the marching season. ALL band members are invited to attend and should make every effort to attend.

o   Pick-up of music and information will be August 6 before rehearsal begins.

o   Please arrive no later than 6:00 pm to pick up your envelope.

♪      BAND CAMP is Friday 8/22 and 8/25-29, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm. Please check the calendar and the letter that was sent home for details.

The West High Music supporters meetings are on the first Wednesday of the month, 7:15 p.m. in the high school band room, located at the corner of South Main and Hecker Streets.

West High Music Supporters are parents, friends, and community members interested in supporting and enhancing the music students’ experiences at Manchester High School West. We also support our Color Guard, an integral component of our Marching Band.

As Music Supporters, we fundraise for student activities and supplement the budget for the purchase of music, event admission, equipment, and travel. We offer clerical and chaperone support. We provide a forum for communication regarding activities, schedules, and events. And we work to promote the students’ events and achievements in the community. While we depend upon our volunteers to achieve these objectives, volunteering is not necessary to come to our meetings or to become a member.

All attendees are welcome to come for information and to join in the discussion of business at hand. However, a decision for action or an outlay of funds is made by membership vote. For more information on becoming a member, go to MEMBERSHIP.
